A Fool’s Day Out

Well… as the title suggests, its all about a fool (No Prizes to guess WHO) who blundered big time through the day!!

Done everything that he wont do otherwise… buying something he shouldn’t!! Eating something he should had not!! Left the Card in ATM machine (Which he realises at the end)!! Gets lost on the regular road and reaches all together to a different place!! Then goes back from where he stared to follow the right way!! Spoils off others moods!! Somehow tries to handle the situation but then again… What else can you expect from a fool!!! Refuels the car and then learns that he has ran out of cash and then come the major realization!!! The donated ATM card mentioned above!!!

Its not always necessary to put efforts to be smart when u can play a fool effortlessly!!

Mumbai 26/11 Terror Attack : After Effects

Attacks at Taj

Attacks at Taj

The city known for its nightlife, its spirit, its crowd!! The city of dreams… The city which is amongst the most populated cities of the world…. The commercial capital of India… Faced a major blow by terror activity. A open fire in various parts of south Mumbai Including CST Station, Vidhan Bhavan, Metro Cinema, Cama Hospital, etc. and not to mention the tragedy at Hotel Taj and Oberoi and residential apartment,Nariman House. This is considered to be the most cruel terror attack in India and is being compared to US’s 9-11 attack.

After 3 days of terror, when we lost 3 crucial senior officers from Mumbai Police Dept along with other courageous officers and militants. There was a political upside down era!! Which was quite expected from dirty politics in India. India’s Home minister had to resign, which also followed resignations of Maharashtra’s Home Minister, R.R. Patil and Chief Minister, Vilasrao Deshmukh. Naval Chief was fired from his position since the terrorists entered country limits trough the sea. Security measures across the country have seemed to be scaled up remarkably. This is not the case with Mumbai solely but security measures have also seen changing in neighbouring cities Thane and Pune. The official count of 10 given by police have been proved wrong when another bomb with 8 Kg. RDX was found at CST station on 3rd December eve. The media layed smart on the 3rd day of terror on request by officials by not telecasting the live telecast. The same was followed on the 3rd Dec. when media played smart by not creating panic among people by giving the news when the Bomb was found at CST. The only living terrorist who is in custody, named Kasab from Pakistan has revealed the whole plan and how they realized it all and the facts have been shocking.

Well what the politicians can do is just play dirty politics and its common man who suffers. The newly selected Cheif minister of Maharsahtra is Ashok Chavhan. The death of 3 important officers from Mumbai Police dept. Still remains a mystry, whether it was a coincidence or it was a well planned killing. Daud’s contribution to the attack has again bursted the anger against him. This time for a change India is playing a hard role against Pakistan by asking them to hand over the criminals who nest in Pakistan. Sources also say that both countries have moved the forces to the border and this could be a begining to yet another Indo-Pak war. But if it does strike…. it wont just stay an Indo-Pak war. Many other superpowers will jump in, the sight to see would be which ones decide to take a stand against terrorism.

Everyone, “including me” has a lot to say…. but words cannot explain all form of feelings…. I here by salute to the officers and militants who lost their lives to keep us safe. A special mention about Havaldaar Jayvant Patil who stays in my area and lost his life in this terror attack. Witnessing his antim yatra is inexpressible with mere words.

Jai Hind.

IPL vs ICL

Gradual announcement of ICL viz. Indian Champions League founded by former Indian Cricket Caption, Kapil Dev along with other former cricketers, opened avenues for Indian cricketers who were sidelined by BCCI in addition to other foriegn players. After rigourous declaration and introduction of ICL to the media, BCCI accepted the challenge and declared that the players joining ICL wont be allowed to play for Indian Cricket Team. Till this announcement many players had joined big names like Inzy, Lara marketed things for ICL. Many players who didnot fair well with the Indian team and lost their chance also joined ICL. ICL would give them opportunity to play with international players along with some heavy match fees.

BCCI indicated the launch of IPL viz. Indian Premier League with big players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly, Anil Kumble, Murlitharan, Jayasurya, Hayden, Symonds, Ponting and a lot of top notch international players. Yet it wasnt sure that whether BCCI would allow ICL players to play for Indian Team and the controversy is still on.

Success of ICL ??

Was ICL really successful?? Atleast I didnt see much of the matches. Nor did I hear things about ICL much as I have been hearing about IPL even before it started off.

What did actually go wrong with ICL??

The planning was too broad… They gotin all the teams in at a go. Unlike IPL who kept limited teams and worked on the quality. ICL had a clear aim ie. MONEY/BUSINESS. They could had done well by mixing in pakistani players in the existing teams instead of making a separate team altogether. They also selected ZEE Sports as their broadcasting medium which didnot take them to many TV sets like other channels like Sony or DD Sports could do. Absense of top notch players also made a lot off difference.

What went right with IPL??

IPL had the major advantage and that it was a brand was worlds wealthiest cricket board, BCCI in addition to big players like Sachin,Saurav,Dravid,Kumble, Warne, Brett Lee, Ponting, Hayden, Symonds, Smith, Pollock and many big names in international cricket… Besides this IPL also opened doors for former and well as Under19 players who were bestowed with cricketing talent.

The next imortant feature BCCI provided was a limited number of teams to start with and thier auction. This really brought in more money, for the event as well as for the players. First all teams were set for auction and the most expensive bid was Mukesh Ambani’s for Mumbai team which then he named as Mumbai Indians. Shahrukh Khan, Preety Zinta and Sothie Stars too didnt stay back. Vijay Mallya was also in the race. The teams were alloted, and the names were declared. Player were selected based on the auction too!! Lot of money huh!!! Money was speaking through the IPL selections. The publicity means of IPL were stronger. In addition to the big fat publicity of the IPL as an event, Each team has their own commercials running through the channels. Shahrukh and Priety publicized them in quite glamorous styles. Wheres as Ambani and Mallya didnt stay back too.

The whole IPL banner involved a lot of money and glamour. To speak about professionalism, it spoke too…. each team was to have an official coach, physio and all the othr ammenities which international teams get. One more good thing that happened with IPL was introduction of new INTERNATIONAL cricket ground at New Mumbai. The new and much in talk D.Y. Patil Sports Complex Stadium was to make its debut with International players during IPL.
